You Don’t Have To Sell Online To Be Online

In the past few months, I’ve meet with a few clients who have said, “I don’t know what I would do with a website. I don’t want to sell my product online.” Truth be told, that very well may be true. Perhaps your product is rather expensive and you worry about scaring customers away, or possibly shipping would not be feasible. There are several reasons you may choose not to sell your product online, however, that doesn’t mean that there is no need for a website.

Even though you are not selling your product or service online, you can still sell the idea and the benefits of your product on your website. Your website can be created in a way that will spark interest in your product with your customer, and then encourage them to call, email or submit a contact form. At that point, it would be up to you as the business owner to make the sale. After all, your website is just a marketing tool.

There are many ways you can sell the idea and the benefits of your product with a website. For example, you could set up a blog talking about the benefits of the product. With a blog, you could easily post updates on how customers have used your product and the success they have had. You could also utilize the power of social marketing and build a community to support and promote your product. With Facebook, you could allow for your fans to talk to one another and discuss how using your product has benefited them.

Do you have a product that you choose not to sell online for any reason? If so, what do you do with your website to promote your product or company?
