When a Website Feels Hard to Use, People Leave
You could have a rock solid business. Strong services that benefit the community. You could even have a professional-looking website. You could have all that, and still lose visitors nearly immediately.
This high bounce rate is far too common for small businesses. It is not at all because the business is bad or has poor services. It’s due to the website feeling confusing, cluttered, or harder to use than expected. When a site gives that kind of experience, users leave without engaging in the site at all. No reading. No clicking links. No submitting contact forms.
That behavior is called a bounce. It is when someone lands on your site and right away leaves without doing anything.
Bouncing has little to do with price or competition. A high bounce rate has everything to do with structure and clarity. If a site does not quickly make sense, users move on.
